T-Mobile Center Commemorates America Recycles Day in Partnership with Bridging the Gap, Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City and Others
Kansas City, Mo. (Nov. 21, 2024) – T-Mobile Center commemorated America Recycles Day on Nov. 15 with a recycling event. Partnering with Bridging the Gap, the venue collected e-waste and glass for recycling as well as clothing and soft goods to be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City. The event diverted over one ton of e-waste and 165 pounds of glass from local landfills. Additionally, more than 750 pounds of soft goods (clothing and other items) were donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City.
“T-Mobile Center prioritizes sustainability in our daily arena operations, hosting events or participating in community initiatives,” said Jay Cooper, T-Mobile Center General Manager. Cooper added that T-Mobile Center recently partnered with Honeycomb Strategies, a leader in sustainable solutions for entertainment venues, to examine key opportunities and priorities of T-Mobile Center sustainability efforts. “T-Mobile Center is continually looking for ways to reduce its carbon footprint.”
