For the 1st Quarter of 2009, Pollstar Magazine recognized T-Mobile Center as #14 among all worldwide venues. The current issue of the leading industry publication hit newsstands this week also indicated that T-Mobile Center’s first quarter attendance firmly listed at No. 5 among U.S. concert venues.

“T-Mobile Center’s ranking of #14 in the world is indicative of Kansas City’s spirit and passion,” said Brenda Tinnen, AEG Kansas City/T-Mobile Center general manager and senior vice president. “In just 18 months, support for               T-Mobile Center from guests, artists, managers and promoters has elevated         Kansas City’s profile --  setting the stage for future live entertainment and sporting events.”

Celine Dion, Rascal Flatts, AC/DC and The Eagles were among T-Mobile Center’s sold out concerts during the first three months of 2009. In addition, T-Mobile Center also hosted sold-out, nationally televised events including first- and second- rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships, PBR: Professional Bull Riders and WWE Raw and SMACKdown!

Pollstar maintains an extensive database and collects box office reports from nearly 100 percent of the world’s top-level artists, promoters and venues. The rankings are based on tickets sold for live entertainment performances between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2009.
