PBR returns to T-Mobile Center This February

Nov. 29 KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Professional Bull Riders announced that the world’s best bull riders and bulls will return to T-Mobile Center on Feb. 23-24.

Bull riding begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24. Tickets begin at $10 and will go on sale on Monday, Dec. 10, at T-Mobile Center box office, www.t-mobilecenter.com and by telephone at (888) 929-7849.

Leading the way into Kansas City will be Missouri natives L.J. Jenkins and Luke Snyder. Jenkins, who was born in Springfield, Mo., finished the 2012 season ranked third in the world, while Snyder was ranked 11th.

Fans will witness thrilling 8-second rides and jaw-dropping wrecks throughout the adrenaline-soaked performance as the PBR’s insanely brave cowboys risk it all against monstrous animal athletes that can weigh as much as 2,000 pounds.

The PBR will celebrate 20 years of competition with the 2013 season. More than 100 million viewers watch primetime PBR programming annually on networks around the world and nearly two million fans attend PBR events each year. PBR has awarded over $120 million dollars in prize money over 20 years of competition, including a $1 million dollar bonus to the PBR World Champion each year.

Each of the Top 35 riders in the world will ride on Saturday and Sunday. Following Round 2 on Sunday, the riders with the 10 highest cumulative scores will advance to the Championship Round where they will compete with one more bull. The overall event winner will be the rider with the highest combined score from all three rounds.

Kansas City will be the eighth stop on the 2013 PBR schedule, which will open at world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York on Jan. 4-6. The season will conclude Oct. 23-27 in Las Vegas with the PBR World Finals, where the PBR World Champion will be crowned and awarded a $1 million bonus. The richest bull riding event in the world, the World Finals has a total purse of more than $2 million.
