NEW EXPRESS LANES AND HELPFUL HINTS ANNOUNCED FOR 2015 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship
March 9, 2015 (Kansas City, Mo.)—In preparation for the 2015 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship, T-Mobile Center has announced the following updates to assist the hundreds of thousands of visitors that will descend upon Kansas City for nine action packed games.
New for 2015! EXPRESS LANES
To encourage improved efficient entry, fans without bags are encouraged to look for the EXPRESS LANES signs at both the Grand Boulevard and Oak Street Entrances. Standard procedures will remain in place to ensure fan safety and security, and fans using the new EXPRESS LANES will enjoy reduced wait times upon entering the facility. As always, fan safety and security is of paramount importance to the Big 12 Conference and Kansas City Host Committee.
EARLY ENTRY AND GAME TIMES
T-Mobile Center doors open 90 minutes prior to tipoff (or as quickly as possible between Thursday sessions). Arriving early for each session will ensure you won’t miss a minute of Big 12 action. NOTE: In sessions with two games, tipoff will begin 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first contest.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Below is a list of prohibited items for the event: backpacks, pocket knives, weapons of any kind including concealed permits, laser pointers, outside food or beverage, coolers, tablet devices larger than 7 inches, fireworks, frisbees, beach balls, spurs, artificial noisemakers including cowbells, clappers, thundersticks, horns and whistles.
The Big 12 reserves the right to limit the size of hand-held signage (typically no larger than one person can hold) and remove signage that includes commercial logos or does not convey the ideals of college athletics. Signage deemed to block the view of other guests will be removed.
BEER SALES
Beer will be available for sale at concession stands and portable carts located on the main concourse and upper level concourses. Designated Driver Programs will also be in place to ensure the safety of our guests and the community.
